Measures have been taken by the American Government to prevent Jewish refugees from entering the United States, the Frankfurter Zeitung reports today. The paper’s assertion is based on the allegation that the American consul in Paris demands conclusive proof from German citizens seeking American visas that they still are permanent residents of Germany. The only German citizens exempt from this ruling, according to the Zeitung, are those presenting certificates from the German authorities that they are not political refugees.
