Assurances that American Jews will do their share in building the Weizmann Institute of Science in Palestine was cabled today to Dr. Weizmann by Edmund I. Kaufmann, president of the American committee for the institute, the cornerstone of which was laid this week at Rehovoth.
Emphasizing that the institute will be a token of Dr. Weizmann’s leadership and “an expression of our people’s dedication to the pursuit of scientific research which will be a blessing to Palestine,” the cable assured Dr. Weizmann that “the task of building the institute to which we set our hands as expression of our affection and gratitude to you, will be speedily completed.”
