An appeal to Jewish physicians the world over, and to Jews at large, to provide information, biographical data or documents about Jewish physicians in Poland who died during the Nazi occupation was issued here today by a committee of doctors formed for the purpose of publishing a Memorial Book on Jewish Physicians Martyrs.
The committee is obtaining the cooperation of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany in carrying out its program, the appeal emphasized. It estimated that more than 3, 000 Jewish physicians were annihilated by the Nazis in Poland during the occupation years. Dr. J. Tenenbaum, leader of the World Jewish Congress, and Dr. Leon Wulman of the American OSE, are members of the memorial book committee.
