A mixed investigation commission of United States Air Force officers and Israeli police experts have come to the conclusion that the fire which damaged an American military plane attached to the American Embassy here on May 16, was not the result of an accident or negligence, a communiqué issued by the American Embassy stated.
The communiqué, which pointed out that somebody forcibly entered the plane before the fire broke out, declared that the mixed commission agreed that “the nature of the means used to gain entry to the plane leads to the conclusion that the fire was not the result of an accidental short circuit or negligence. It has not been possible to determine the identity of the person or persons who entered the plane prior to the fire.”
