The pavilion at the 1964 New York World’s Fair to be set up by the America-Israel World’s Fair Corporation in New York, will not fly the Israeli flag, nor will it be officially linked with Israel, it was announced here today by a spokesman for the Government committee dealing with Israel’s representation at international exhibitions.
The spokesman said that last year, because of budgetary considerations, the Government regretfully canceled its proposed participation in the Fair, which was estimated to cost $3, 000, 000. The pavilion to be set up will be the responsibility of the private corporation which will exhibit the products of a number of Israeli exporters.
