The American Jewish Committee cabled greetings today to the Shah of Iran and Queen Farah on their coronation. The message, signed by Morris B. Abram, president, associated the committee with “the ancient Jewish community of Iran on this festive occasion.” It declared that “we are mindful and deeply appreciative of the friendship that His Imperial Majesty has given to the Jewish people of Iran and other countries throughout his benevolent reign.”
