The American Jewish Committee today gave a farewell luncheon for Simcha Pratt, Consul General of Israel, who is returning to Jerusalem to take over a new post in the Israel Foreign Ministry. The luncheon was attended by AJC officers and leaders, including president Herbert B. Ehrmann.
The National Committee for Labor Israel held a reception last night at the Histadrut House to bid farewell to Mr. and Mrs. Pratt on the occasion of their return to Israel. Leaders of the American Zionist Labor movement, addressing the gathering, lauded Mr. Pratt’s activities in bringing closer the ties between American Jewry and Israel.
