Various communities all over the country have pledged themselves to provide an area of 8,000 dunam towards the total of 200,000 dunam in Palestine, for which funds are to be raised in America under the five-year plan of the Jewish National Fund, it was reported at to-day’s session of the Jewish National Fund Board of Directors.
These 8,000 dunams are in addition to the are for whose redemptiom funds were raised before Mr. Ussischkin left New York on his return to Palestine, making now a total of 40,000 dunam, apart from New York City, for which the figures are not yet available.
