An increase of sixty-one percent in the income of the Jewish National Fund during the last ten months as compared with the corresponding period of previous year, was reported here today by the JNF headquarters.
The income of the JNF from October 1943 till August 1944 amounted to more than $5,600,000. The Jews of the United States contributed sixty percent of this sum. Of the balance, ten percent was covered each by Jews of South Africa, and Palestine, while the remainder came from England, Canada, Australia and Latin American countries.
The Jewish National Fund possesses now a total of 704,859 dunams of land of which 42,899 were acquired during the last ten months.
