The Jewish War Veterans of the United States reported today that it had made arrangements with the American Legion to represent the JWV and Israel at Veterans Day ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery on Veterans Day this Saturday. Since the event this year falls on the Jewish Sabbath, the JWV and Israel indicated it could not participate.
During the annual Veterans Day ceremony to be held Saturday at the National Cemetery, at Arlington, torches will be carried by military attaches from the Embassies of France. Britain, Belgium, Italy, and Mexico. The JWV has turned over both its own torch and Israel’s to the American Legion.
