American manufacturers as well as Czechoslovakian, Polish, Italian and Finnish dealers are benefitting from the widespread boycott of German made products, according to the current issue of the Economic Bulletin, a publication of the Non-Sectarian Anti-Nazi League to Champion Human Rights which is headed by Samuel Untermyer.
Among the articles being purchased in countries other than Germany are chemical glassware, formerly a large import item from the Reich, rayon hosiery, fancy leather, bobby pins, starches, gloves and other merchandise. The Economic Bulletin reports that one of the largest importers of German-made goods here has announced that “we have hardly any German goods to speak of except some old stock which we have had for some time.” The League research bureau has prepared a leaflet announcing where substitutes for German goods can be procured.
