Charges that an organization known as the American Christian Relief Organization which is concentrating its efforts in the Ukraine is really a missionary organization camouflaged as a relief agency and that its representative in Moscow Herman Gentz is a missionary are being openly made here. The organization is said to have its headquarters in Philadelphia or New York.
The American Red Cross, the Quakers relief service operating here as well as the Soviet government are said to be ignorant of the society’s true purpose, but its expulsion from the Russian field is certain if the government discovers that it is a missionary enterprise.
