Construction of a new arts and sciences college patterned after American institutions of higher learning will be undertaken in Tel Aviv within a year, Dr. Pinkhos Churgin, president of the Mizrachi Organization of America, announced here. The college will be under the auspices of the American Mizrachi organization.
The new institution is expected to begin accepting students in three years. It will be the first institution of its type in Israel because the existing institutions of higher learning there are either technical schools or ones which specialize primarily in graduate work. The city of Tel Aviv has already set aside a tract of land on which the new school will be located.
