Leon Gillman, president of the Mizrachi Organization of America, today denied at a press conference here that there has been a split between Mizrachi and Hapoel Hamizrachi, Orthodox Zionist labor group.
“There has been no rift or schism between both groups, but proposals have been presented for ratification by both parties at the world Mizrachi conference in Israel this August which aim to coordinate rather than separate, to unite in equal partnership, rather than disunite in striving factions,” Mr. Gellman said.
Clarifying the “reorganization proposals” which have been adopted at the recent convention of the Mizrachi Organization, Mr. Gellman pointed out that “it is proposed a world federation of General Mizrachi groups be established which will cooperate fully and harmoniously with the world federation of Hapoel Hamizrachi groups already in existence.”
