The amount of Israeli currency engraved in the United States is email, members of the Israeli diplomatic mission here assorted today. They explained that no hint of the total amount could be disclosed until the Tel Aviv government has “definitely decided” to put it into circulation.
“That may be a long time off,” one spokesman predicted. “Not only will the Issuance of the currency sever the last ties of Israel with London, but also with the neighboring Arab states. But if we decide to use it, we will have the currency on hand.”
