The American Palestine Trading Corporation (AMPAL), in cooperation with the Jewish National Fund, has extended a $500,000 loan to the Mekoroth Water Company of Israel to finance a project designed to bring water to the Negev, it was disclosed today. Water will be carried to the newly-established Negev settlements by an intricate system of pipelines.
