An 18-year-old Palestinian was killed when an Israeli tank shell hit his house in the West Bank town of Beit Jalla. The Israeli army said soldiers guarding the Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo opened fire when they saw armed Palestinians taking up positions in Beit Jalla.
