An 86-year-old Israeli woman mistakenly taken for dead regained full consciousness last week while her body was being purified for burial. The woman was declared dead after doctors determined that her breathing had stopped and her body had begun to cool, but as the body was being prepared for burial, the woman suddenly awoke. She was taken to the intensive care unit at a Tel Aviv hospital.
