An aide to Mahmoud Abbas said the Palestinian Authority president would meet Israel’s foreign minister this weekend. Saeb Erekat said Thursday that Abbas and Tzipi Livni would hold talks on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Sharm el-Sheik. Israel’s Foreign Ministry said there was no firm commitment yet on the meeting, expected Sunday.
