An American architect working on Germany’s proposed Holocaust memorial said he has scaled down his proposed design. Peter Eisenman is expected to present his new design to German Chancellor Helmut Kohl on June 20, according to a German news report. The project has been beset by controversy and delays for several years. Most recently, Eisenman’s collaborator on the memorial, Richard Serra, resigned, citing both professional and personal concerns.
