An Australian man received the country’s highest award, in part for his service to the Jewish community. Attorney Mark Leibler received the Companion of the Order of Australia, announced Tuesday. Leibler, 61, was born and educated in Melbourne and is national chairman of the Australia/Israel and Jewish Affairs Council, life chairman of the United Israel Appeal and governor of the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce.
