An Egyptian court disbanded a nongovernmental organization that worked for Arab-Israeli peace. According to the Egyptian newspaper Al-Usbu’a, the activities of the Cairo Association for Peace were suspended because of the need for caution in activity with Israel “out of fear for the well-being of the land” and state security.
