An Egyptian man was released from a New York jail after being held for more than three years on the basis of secret evidence the FBI said linked him to terrorists in the United States and Egypt. Nasser Ahmed was freed after Attorney General Janet Reno refused to accede to a request from immigration officials that he continue to be jailed.
