An exhibit highlighting the late Pope John Paul II’s ties to the Jewish people will open in Washington in September. Visitors will see a recreation of John Paul’s Polish hometown, where he became friends with numerous Jewish schoolmates, and will be able to place prayers in a replica of the Western Wall, as the pope did during his 2000 visit to Israel.
