An explosive charge went off in Petach. Tikvo early Sunday morning but caused little damage. Although the bomb was planted on Pinsker Street, one of the city’s main thorough fares, it detonated before many people were out. Several Arab workers in the vicinity were interrogated. On Friday, police sappers safely dismantled a bomb found in a package on a soldier’s hitchhiking station near Ashkelon. A soldier had spotted the suspicious-looking parcel.
