An institute for Jewish studies, the Martin Buber Institute, opened here last week. The institute was created jointly by the Brussels Jewish community and the European Council of Jewish Community Services. Thirty-four Belgian universities will cooperate in jointly supplying the academic staff and will share in expenses. The European Council plans to open similar institutes for Judaic studies in other European capitals.
