An international commission was established to expedite the processing of insurance claims made by Holocaust survivors and heirs of victims. Participants in the commission include four major European insurance companies, several Jewish organizations and two U.S. state insurance commissioners. The body will investigate insurance claims and resolve disputes between claimants and insurers. It will also set up a fund to provide humanitarian relief to Holocaust victims and their families.
