An international conference on Nazi gold ended in London with a call to complete all moral and material restitution by the end of this century. Meanwhile, the World Jewish Congress said it would urge a temporary moratorium by U.S. state and local governments on sanctions against Swiss banks. WJC President Edgar Bronfman is expected to make his appeal at a conference in New York City on Monday.
