An Israeli firm has developed a portable air raid shelter which it says costs IL 32,000, half the price of conventional concrete shelters. The shelter consists of a metal cylinder that can hold 18 persons and contains water supplies, sanitary facilities and ventilating devices. It can be placed in specially dug trenches and can be moved from one site to another, the manu-facturer says.
