An Israeli soldier and a Palestinian gunman were killed in a clash near the West Bank settlement of Immanuel on Wednesday. Lt. Elad Grandir, 21, of Haifa, was killed and two other soldiers wounded in the gun battle. The clash erupted as Israeli soldiers aided by military helicopters carried out an intensive manhunt for the terrorist cell that had carried out a deadly ambush a day earlier near the settlement.
