An Israeli soldier was sentenced to prison for shooting an unarmed Palestinian. The conscript, who shot a Gaza Strip resident in the leg as he was installing a television antenna in 2003, was found guilty of grievous bodily harm Thursday and sentenced to 20 months in jail. He also was found to have lied to investigators and was demoted from sergeant to private.
