An Israeli university made an advancement involving stem cells that may help control cancer. Researchers at the Haifa-based Technion-Israel Institute of Technology grew blood vessels from human embryonic stem cells, which allows them both to replace damaged blood vessels and to provide insight into blood-vessel formation — central knowledge for controlling cancer, according to the Technion.
