Virtual termination of missionary activities of the Anglican Church in Israel was announced here in a statement issued by the Church Missionary Society.
The statement said the Missionary Society “always considered work among the Arabs its primary responsibility and, in “consequence of the wholesale dispersal of the Arabs, its work in Israel has come largely to a standstill and its institutions in Jerusalem, Jaffa and Lydda have ceased to function.”
