A joint Anglo-American trusteeship for Palestine is the best solution of the current dispute, Robert Nathan, economist, asserted last night at a United Palestine Appeal meeting here.
Nathan declared that if such a trusteeship were properly administered it would be possible to absorb 700,000 to 1,000,000 immigrants within the next decade. He stated that the British administration of Palestine has retarded the country’s development and that it has been self-sufficient since 1938. He estimated that the cost of the ten-year immigration policy would be about $2,750,000.
