Publishers of the leading Anglo-Jewish newspapers throughout the country will meet here tomorrow at a meeting called to discuss editorial and circulation problems and to plan the formation of an Association of Anglo-Jewish Publishers. The meeting will continue through Sunday afternoon.
An “Oneg Shabbat” tomorrow afternoon will open the proceedings. It will hear addresses by Alexander Brin of the Boston Jewish Advocate and Philip Slomovits of the Detroit Jewish News. Saturday night and Sunday morning’s sessions will be devoted to advertising and circulation respectively. After a luncheon on Sunday afternoon, to be addressed by Boris Smolar, editor of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, the final session of the convention will be held, with the editorial work of the papers the chief topic of the discussion. Election of officers will close the convention.
