On the occasion of the third anniversary of Israel’s independence, President Truman during the week-end sent the following message to President Chaim Weizmann: “The people of the United States and I take great pleasure in sending to Your Excellency and to the people of Israel sincere good wishes and felicitations on this anniversary of the independence of Israel.”
