Several hundred persons participated yesterday in services honoring the memory of the late Vladimir Jabotinsky, founder of the Zionist-Revisionist movement, who died in New York 22 years ago and whose remains are in New Montefiore Cemetery in suburban Farmingdale, Long Island. The services took place at his grave.
Among the participants were uniformed groups of members of Betar, the League for the Jewish Legion, Jewish War Veterans, and representatives of delegations from Israel, Canada, Mexico, Uruguay, and local United Zionist-Revisionist organizations. The Government of Israel was represented by Katriel Katz, Consul-General in New York. The solemn ceremony included the placing of earth from the graves of heroes in Israel, the chanting of Hatikvab, and the playing of taps by members of the uniformed groups.
