The 24th annual Jewish Music Festival, conducted by the National Jewish Music Council, will be observed from Purim, March 14, to Passover. April 12. Its theme this year will be the historical contribution of Russian Jewry to Jewish music. Rabbi Avraham Soltes is chairman of the council which is sponsored by the National Jewish Welfare Board. Some 2,000 organizations are expected to present festival programs.
