CONTINUING ITS COURSE OF DRASTIC PUNISHMENT FOR VIOLATION OF EMERGENCY REGULATIONS, THE MILITARY TRIBUNAL HERE TODAY SENTENCED AN ARAB NAMED ISMAIL MISHAR TO LIFE IMPRISONMENT AT HARD LABOR FOR POSSESSION OF ARMS AND A BOMB.

THE SENTENCE BRINGS TO EIGHT THE NUMBER OF ARMY COURT CONVICTIONS HANDED DOWN SINCE NOV. 18 IN THE ADMINISTRATION’S DRIVE TO STAMP OUT ARAB TERRORISM.

DISPATCHES FROM NORTHERN PALESTINE SAID ARAB RESIDENTS OF GALILEE LAST NIGHT REFUSED TO SHELTER AN ARMED TERRORIST BAND OPERATING IN THE REGION, THE HAVAS NEWS AGENCY REPORTED. APPARENTLY THE RESIDENTS ARE WEARY OF THE CONTINUAL UNREST AND FEAR THE STERN POWERS RELEGATED TO THE MILITARY TRIBUNALS, IT WAS SAID.

A POLICE STATION IN BEERSHEBA WAS BOMBED AND FIRED UPON. SEVERAL ARAB YOUTHS WERE ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH THE ATTACK.
