During the War the German Suprens Command (General#dendorff) ordered Polish and Lithuanian Jews to work in #rman mines or as unskilled laborers. Some of them remained after the War. Some Jews fom Russia, Poland and the Ukraine came to Germany flying before Bolshevism and pogroms. But in spite of all,the total number of Jews (German and foreign) residing in Germany decreased, from1910 to 1925, from 615021 to 564379 (according to the official Census). In 1925,99,000 foreign Jews resided in Gernany; since then, on account of the economic crisis, thousand to France, South American, Palestine and also back to Poland.
In 1933 there were, in fact, not more than 76,000 East European Jews in Germany compared with nearly 65 milion inhabitants.
