The official opening of the New York campaign of the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith for $2,650,000 toward the national goal of $5,523,900 was launched here last night in an inaugural dinner at which former Sen. Paul H. Douglas and his wife were presented with the Human Rights Award of the ADL.
Emily Taft Douglas, a former Member of Congress from Illinois, and Mr. Douglas were honored for their efforts and achievements “in the struggle against injustice, prejudice and disadvantage.” More than 1,000 business and communal leaders attended the event.
