Active heckling by anti-fascists disrupted a meeting here addressed by Raven Thompson, one of fascist leader Sir Oswald Mosely’s lieutenants. Police finally entered the meeting hall and restored order.
A pamphlet entitled "World Jewry Versus Britain" was circulated among the audience, and Thompson assailed "persons with foreign unpronounceable names." He asserted that "nationalist" activities will continue even if the successor organizations to Mosely’s outlawed British Union of Fascists are suppressed.
