The authorities today closed the Warsaw Trade Academy for an indefinite period following anti-Jewish excesses by student members of the anti-Semitic National Democratic Party (Endeks). Jewish students were attacked with sticks and knives.
One Jewish student was seriously injured and many others slightly in similar attacks at the Warsaw Politechnicum.
The excesses in both cases arose from efforts of the Endeks to force Jewish students to sit in “Jim Crow” benches in the lecture rooms. Similar attacks occurred at Warsaw University yesterday for the second time since the Fall term opened last Thursday.
