Reports of anti-Jewish excesses in provincial cities reached here today. They stated that in a number of cities Jewish passers-by were attacked in the streets and that school boys had, at the instigation of their teachers, smashed windows of Jewish homes.
In the city of Zierenberg, the reports said, the only synagogue was demolished and five sacred scrolls desecrated.
