The monument to the Unknown Jewish Martyr here was defiled last night by vandals who painted anti-Semitic slogans on the memorial to six million Jews murdered by the Nazis.
Meanwhile, the provincial towns and cities of France are being flooded by a stream of mimeographed leaflets charging that the Jews are helping both the Communists and the capitalists. They charge that 700,000 of the best French dwellings and apartments are occupied by Jews and that billions of francs have been smuggled out of France to Israel.
