Condemnation of the reported scheme for transferring Jews from Germany with capital in the form of German goods to be liquidated with Jewish funds was voiced in a statement of the Executive Committee of the Non-Sectarian Anti-Nazi League made public today.
The statement maintains that the scheme proves the effectiveness of the anti-Nazi boycott. “Were not the pinch of the boycott being felt with greater force day by day no such plan would have been proposed,” the statement said, adding that the scheme would “put a premium upon barbarous and medieval methods of government.” Belief is expressed that emigration “plans not involving an increase in German exports can and should be worked out.”
