The Chicago Committee for the Defense of Human Rights Against Nazism is circulating 25,000 petitions addressed to Secretary of State Cordell Hull protesting against rumored loans to Germany, it was announced today.

The petitions emphasizes the fact that any money loaned to Germany will “strengthen the Hitler government.” It states further, “We feel deeply that the United States can not afford in any way to seem to approve of a government that persecutes and kills scholars, Pacifists, Socialists, Catholics, Protestants, Jews, women and labor almost indiscriminately.”
