The deportation of the representative of the Metro-Goldwyn Films in Germany is demanded in the last issue of “Der Hammer.”
Ernst Lubitsch, who, according to the paper, came to Germany in order to produce the well-known play “Old Heidelberg” by Meyer-Foerster at an expense of four and a half million marks did not acquire for the company the rights of production from the author of the play, the paper charges.
The anti-Semitic periodical accuses the company of having in the past produced anti-German films and asks that it he prevented from carrying out other productions in Germany.
