The ‘International Jewish Banker Clique’ about to ‘take over’ the American Bankers’ Association?” Edmondson asks in his leaflet.
After quoting at length from an attack made by Congressman Hamilton Fish on Hecht, in the #atter’s capacity as New Orleans chairman of the RFC Advisory Committee, the pamphlet states:
“Hecht and the ‘Moss element’ of New Orleans have been referred #o as the ‘Invisible Jewish governors’ of Senator Huey Long’s political machine. Hecht has also been represented as ‘directly or indirectly owning or controlling nearly everything worth while in New Orleans.’ Was Hecht associated with the mysterious ERIC corporation, an allegedly subversive organization that is said to have operated in the United States, Canada and Mexico some years ago? But that is another story.”
After pointing out that the New Orleans banker is an associate of Paul Warburg of Kuhn, Loeb & Co. the leaflet continues:
“It is understood that Paul Warburg came to the United States from the International Jewish Banking House of Hamburg in 1893, married a daughter of Solomon Loeb of Kuhn, Loeb & Co., and before taking out his first citizenship papers in 1907, published ‘The Defects of OUR Banking System.’ Edwin R. A. Seligman wrote to the New York Evening Post on January 29, 1927, saying: ‘Mr. Paul Warburg is the father of the Federal Reserve.’ This would seem to make Mr. Warburg ‘The Foreign Father’ of the American Banking System.
“In view of the foregoing damning record, will the American Bankers’ Association ‘Heil Hecht’ or patriotically move to emancipate itself and redeem United States banking from the sinister alien subversive influences now undermining American principles of government?”
