Anti-Semitic feelings in the mid-West farm belt is “worse than ever,” according to Louis Levand, publisher of the Wichita, Kans. Beacon, in an interview with the Intermountain Jewish News here.
“People are writing hate-filled letters complaining of what they feel to be too much Jewish ownership, too many Jews in politics, too many Jews mixed up in gambling, narcotics and whiskey,” the Kansas publisher declared.
